Plan your visit

We’re so glad you’re interested in Concord Road Church of Christ. We're a family of imperfect people serving a perfect and loving God. In a world full of noise and confusion, we hope you’ll find here a place to belong, feel wanted, and discover the life-changing truth found only in God.

We strive to follow Jesus Christ by looking to the New Testament as our guide for faith, practice, and daily living. With so many voices in the religious world, we seek clarity by continually asking, “What does the Bible say?” God’s way is always best, and we aim to do Bible things in Bible ways.

Jesus said those who hear His words and put them into practice are like wise builders (Matt. 7:24–27). We want to be those people—and we’d love for you to join us on that journey.

We hope to meet you soon!

What to expect

A typical service will last about 60 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music. There is childcare available and activities for all age groups. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and meeting new people.

Lord's Supper (Communion)

As believers, we are commanded to remember the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. Through the Lord's Supper, we honor what Jesus did so we can have the hope of salvation and ultimately a home in Heaven with Him someday. (Matthew 26:24-30; Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)

Scripture Reading

During our worship service, we will take time to read from the Bible. These readings remind us that the Bible is inspired and written by God and instructs us on how to live a full and complete life in view of eternity. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Acapella Singing

As a group of believers, we offer our praise to God and encourage each other through singing without instrumental accompaniment (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 14:15; Hebrews 15:15; Philippians 4:6). Worried you can't sing or read music? No need to worry—God is listening to your heart.

Prayer

Throughout the service, we use prayer to offer our praise to God, request His blessings, and offer thanks for His mercy, grace, and forgiveness. This is the time where we talk to God (Ephesians 5:20 and 6:18; Romans 12:12; 2 Corinthians 1:11).

Preaching

Each Sunday, one of our ministers presents a Bible-based lesson that challenges us in our walk as followers of Christ. Through these sermons,  you can expect to be encouraged toward a more substantial faith and a more meaningful relationship with Jesus. There is also an invitation to request prayers from the congregation or commit (or recommit) your life to God. (James 5:16, Matthew 10:32-33, Luke 13:3; Acts 17:30, Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-7; Acts 8:34-39; Mark 16:16)

Giving

We provide a period where we reflect on God's blessings and give from those blessings to support the ongoing ministries the congregation is involved with worldwide. Our guests are not expected to participate, but if you choose to do so, we will be grateful. (1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 8 & 9)
