Monday Motivation - Is Your Life Drifting Off Course
In 1983, Korean Air Flight 007 drifted slightly off course after a small navigation error. The change was only a few degrees, but over time that small drift grew into hundreds of miles. The plane eventually entered restricted airspace and was shot down, killing all 269 people on board.
It started with something small.
The Bible warns about the same danger in our spiritual lives.
Hebrews 2:1 says:
“We must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.”
Spiritual drift rarely happens suddenly. It happens quietly.
A missed prayer here.
A skipped worship service there.
A little less time in Scripture.
More distractions. More noise.
None of it feels dramatic at the moment. But over time, the direction of our lives slowly shifts.
In this Monday Motivation, we talk about:
• Why spiritual drift is so easy
• How culture and busyness slowly move our direction
• Why attention is essential in the Christian life
• How small course corrections keep us close to God
The good news is that drift is not permanent. As long as we have breath, course correction is possible.
This week, take a moment to ask yourself a simple question:
Am I still moving in the direction God is calling me to go?
If this message encouraged you, leave a comment with the words “Stay on course.”
