5 Ways God Meets You in Your Anxiety

Jun 8, 2026

Anxiety doesn't disappear just because you have faith — but here are five ways God meets you right in the middle of it. In this week's Monday Motivation, we open the scriptures on worry, fear, and the endless "what ifs" that keep us up at night.

If you've ever wondered, "If God is real, why do I still feel so anxious?" — you're not alone, and that's an honest question. But it may not be the best one. Instead of asking how to get rid of anxiety, this message walks through a better question: what does God want me to remember when anxiety shows up?

I'll be honest with you about my own anxious mind — career, family, health, the spirals that start with "I don't know" and end with imagining the worst. Then we open the scriptures together and look at five real things God offers anxious people:

1. A place to bring it: 1 Peter 5:7, the meaning behind "casting" your cares

2. Truth to challenge fear's lies: Romans 12:2 and the renewing of your mind

3. Grace for today, not tomorrow: Matthew 6:34 and the daily manna of Exodus 16

4. His presence in the middle of it: Psalm 46:1, a "very present help"

5. A future bigger than your fear: John 14:1 and the hope that holds

The goal was never to become a person who never feels anxious. The goal is to become someone who knows where to turn when anxiety comes — because it will come for all of us. The answer isn't found in controlling everything. It's found in knowing the One who does.
