“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” ~ James 4:8

I saw the above picture this week and thought what a beautiful image of what our relationship with God’s word should be.

Challenge question for all of us...if God’s word could literally embrace us, would we? Could we?

If we saw it walking down the hall would we fist bump? Hug? Or avoid eye contact as we awkwardly pass by?

Be honest with yourself, what is your relationship with the word? How much time do you spend getting to know the word, soaking it up, taking comfort in it, allowing it to shape your life and direct your life.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.” ~ Proverbs 3:5-6

Our understanding, what we like, what we want, what makes sense to us, will lead us astray. Search the scriptures and acknowledge God as the King of your life. #StudyTheWord
