I'm Headed That Way!
Studying in 1 Peter this week a pretty cool thought went through my head.
“I’m headed where Christ already is!”
1 Peter 3:22 reads “(Jesus Christ) who is at the right hand of God having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him.”
Now this is not an original thought, or new knowledge of any kind. Perhaps just a light bulb that flickered for a moment over my head as I read the words of Peter and got a little excited at that simple thought. I’m headed where Christ already is! #AMEN
Blessed assurance: A holy confidence or certainty
Jesus is mine: Bound to Christ in love
Oh, what a foretaste: A preview of what that lies ahead
of glory divine! Our sights are on Heaven
Heir of salvation, We inherit salvation and continue the legacy of Christ
purchase of God, We were bought with a price, paid in full by God
Born of His Spirit, He who is of God hears God. He who loves God obeys Him
washed in His blood The price paid by Christ which cleanses us & sets us free
This is my story, this is my song, I’ve accepted my inheritance, and am living Christ
Praising my Savior all the day long. I’m thankful, and showing it through my actions
Yes, blessed assurance indeed! The more we study, the more we get excited. Time in the word helps us understand where we’re headed, and the more we understand the more we want others to come along. Are you excited? Are you looking forward to being where Christ already is? Spend time in the word and find blessed assurance that Jesus is yours! #StudyTheWord
